Medical supply delivery by EGT Express
This morning, the first of flights from China arrived at Leoš Janáček Ostrava Airport, carrying medical supplies to help combat coronavirus. Flights are organized by EGT Express s.r.o. in cooperation with the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. The Boeing 767-300 delivered both masks, respirators and other medical equipment.
The cargo was immediately loaded and will head in the direction of the warehouse of material reserves.
This is the first flight with medical supplies, but a regular service between Ostrava and Urumqi, West China, has been in operation since last year. “Given the current situation, we are very pleased to be able to support the Czech Republic in the fight against coronavirus, while extending the existing service with regular flights from Shanghai. The first arrival from Shanghai is scheduled for Sunday, March 29th. ”
