Traffic situation on arrival to EGT (in direction from Olomouc)

Please note that road I35 works are underway. If you are coming to EGT Express from Olomouc, in the period from 17. until 28.7.2019, it is necessary to use the detour route, which starts at the roundabout (at the Peugeot garage) and goes through Bystrovany and Bukovany to Velká Bystřice. The delay should be no longer than 5 - 10 minutes. In the opposite direction, there are no changes. For truck drivers, we suggest preferring the highway instead. Despite this minor complication, we look forward to seeing you and wish you a happy and safe journey

Transport logistic 2019

Messe Munich hosted the Transport logistic, worldwide renowned fair from June 4 to 7, 2019. Nowadays, Transport logistic is considered as the world's largest intermodal logistics hub, which was confirmed by the attendance of 2,374 exhibitors and around 64,000 visitors.

EGT express is proud to be part of this major event. We would like to sincerely thank all our partners and friends, who came to discuss our cooperation or simply passed by to say hello and meet in person. We had the opportunity to discuss many topics in detail or even to come up with new solutions. We were also extremely honored and happy to meet many new potential partners and we hope to start a new, long term and successful cooperation very soon.

From Tuesday until Friday, our stand has been truly multinational, with visitors from Europe, but also from China, Pakistan, India or Tunisia to name just a few. We are grateful so many people spend their time to discuss various transport solutions with our team, which was composed of our colleagues from the Czech Headquarters, as well as colleagues from our Lithuania, Ukraine or Turkmenistan offices.

EGT Express Uzbekistan has a new director

The branch office of EGT Express in Uzbekistan has undergone a change in the management board and has also relocated to new premises in Tashkent.

EGT has been represented in Uzbekistan with a branch office for over 9 years. Ravshan Ismatullaev has been appointed as an Executive Director. Bringing with him more than 10 years of experience gained from leading European and Uzbekistan logistics companies.

Ravshan will continue to develop local tradelines/routes and interconnect them with networks from neighbouring countries. He will also manage optimal conditions for importing various commodities from the EU and CIS countries. 

The branch office remains in Tashkent, relocating to 34A Babur street. The relocation to larger premises is the answer to expanding services that are provided by the branch in close cooperation with all other members of EGT group. In the near future, branch staff will grow with additional employees.

We wish Ravshan much successes to his new career with us at EGT Express.

We have chosen to support the Healthcare Clown Organization, a non-profit organization whose mission is cheering up children in hospitals with professionally trained healthcare clowns. The organization has also expanded its activities to visiting seniors' group homes, where clowns try to make loneliness happier.

Brexit preparations in case of a No Deal Brexit on the 29th March

As we are getting closer to the 29th of March we need to be prepared in case the UK leaves the EU without a deal,  enabling us to assure your cargo gets there as usual, on time and with no surcharges.  We understand the key role we play in your companies supply chains and the planning we have in place assures business as usual.

Your business will need to make some preparations in case of a No Deal Brexit, below is our short guide what will be needed to ensure smooth shipping.

  • An EORI number is required if trading goods with countries outside the EU. If the UK leaves the EU on the 29th of March a UK EORI number will be required to trade with the EU
  • Obtain your supplier’s EORI / UK EORI number, they may be required for Customs declarations.
  • Become familiar with the UN codes of ADR goods you ship within the EU. It will be also required for Customs clearance.

 

At EGT we are focused on preparing all arrangements to ensure the smoothest transition for our clients both in the UK and EU. Our teams are engaged in discussion, to ensure the preparations & adjustments to our processes are implemented and all change is properly installed into our internal systems throughout the entire network we operate. We will provide you required support through customs, excise and VAT processes.
