Cross-docking, also known as "flow-through storage", saves time, money and space. It is based on the synchronisation of all logistics processes, which simplifies the collection of goods from the manufacturer or supplier and the subsequent delivery to the end customer.
The goods do not physically accumulate in the warehouse, but only pass through it. It is unloaded and immediately transferred to a new truck without the need for storage, or redistributed according to the destination or type of downstream service required. This ensures greater speed, cost efficiency and facilitates supply chain management.
The pick and pack service consists of unpacking a larger package and breaking it down into individual packages or smaller parcels. These are then sorted based on the individual requirements of the client, e.g. by destination, end customer, etc.
This speeds up and streamlines the entire supply chain. In addition, our reporting and warehouse management systems keep you informed of all logistics processes so that you can check the exact stock levels and location of goods in transit. Key performance indicators can also be monitored if required.
Our staff are continuously trained to ensure that all pick & pack processes run smoothly and seamlessly, but also comply with ISO 14001:2016, ISO 9001:2016 and OHSAS 18001:2008 certifications.
Reverse logistics is the flow of goods, waste and packaging from the customer back to the manufacturer or distributor. Its aim is the reuse, material recovery or ecological disposal of what has not been used.
