Trucks took over Přerov and we couldn't miss it

The Přerov exhibition grounds came alive over the weekend of 24 to 26 July for the 13th edition of the Van & Truck Show. The event welcomed over 100 trucks and vans, and EGT Express was there too, just as we are every year.

Friday evening belonged to the parade

Friday's programme opened with a parade through the town, joined by dozens of vehicles. Trucks and vans drove through the centre of Přerov, with locals waving and drivers responding with their horns. The evening then continued with live music at the exhibition grounds.

Saturday belonged to the trucks and the competitions

The main programme took place on Saturday. Visitors could walk among the trucks and vans on display, watch a fire brigade demonstration, and take part in the prize competitions on offer. The whole weekend also had a charitable side, with proceeds from the tombola and auction going to support children's homes.

EGT Express has supported the event for years

We've been supporting the Van & Truck Show for years, both financially and in kind. This year our own drivers took part too, standing alongside other professionals from the industry. That's what makes the event special, seeing everyone come together in one place and being reminded just how many people stand behind the freight transport we pass on the roads every day.
